Competitive soccer is just that. It is more competitive driven soccer with a higher degree of commitment from
players and family. This is generally a try out based program, in which if one makes a team, they can expect to
play in 2-5 spring tournaments. Fall Competitive Soccer is not as common and tends to be for playing in 1-2 tournaments. Typically you still play Fall Rec Soccer and try to make a Fall tournament team. Tryouts for the spring teams tend to be held in
the prior fall, while tryouts for the fall team will be done in the spring/early summer. While we as a club offer competitive soccer, it is only available if there are enough licensed coaches and adequate number of players to have a team. Practices
vary per team and season. Fees are higher, travel is required and a higher commitment level is needed.
Tournaments and games are played all around the State. Playing time is not guaranteed and there is a strong
emphasis in winning in tournament play. However there is a high level of focus on skill development and
awareness of the game.
